About Perimart International (PI)

Perimart International (PI) is an international African Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO). PI was registered as NGO number OP/218/051/98216/125 on 4th October 2012 in Kenya. PI is headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya and has offices in Nyamira County. The NGO has a regional operational mandate in Eastern Africa covering Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia, and Somaliland.

In forming PI, the trustees and staff bring together extensive expertise in local community, national, Eastern Africa regional and international development and cooperation. Together they have skills and experience in education and training, business and business development, accounting and microfinance, information and communication technologies, agriculture, environment, health, policy development and implementation.

The trustees and staff have extensive experience in working for some of the largest international aid agencies, UN agencies, Government Departments and with holistic and sustainable community initiatives. They have enabled local communities to negotiate for their rights and entitlements from local and national governments and the international community and to develop their own capacity and resources in an environmentally friendly, culturally responsive, and economically sustainable manner. They have extensive experience enabling and strengthening participation of local communities in the negotiations, elaboration and Implementation of international treaties and conventions on issues that concern them related to poverty eradication, education and training, health, trade, environment and sustainable community development.
