Project Description

To sustainably manage and develop the environment is a precondition to poverty eradication and social cultural development for all communities we work with. Governance systems and structures need to be strengthened and challenged to respond to the need for sustainable environmental management. Environmental policy development and implementation must be done with the active involvement and participation of affected local communities and their governance systems and structures.

Projects under this programme are aimed at alliance building in projects protecting the environment, sustainably managing the environment, influencing environmental policy and practice and in supporting, strengthening and influencing governance structures at local and international level.
